Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has issued an important statement, saying that all matters with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have been settled amicably.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the IMF negotiating team, and the relevant institutions. He mentioned that after achieving economic stability, the country is now moving towards growth, and the finalization of these matters will take place at the IMF board meeting this month.

Muhammad Aurangzeb further stated that the reduction in the policy rate will lead to increased investment and business activities, creating job opportunities. He added that with the continuous decline in inflation, relief has started to reach the common man.

Earlier, IMF Director of Communications, Julie Kozack, had informed during a news conference that the Executive Board meeting will be held on September 25, during which the loan program for Pakistan could be approved. Julie Kozack mentioned that negotiations with Pakistan were concluded in July, and discussions had taken place regarding a new loan program worth $7 billion for Pakistan

The IMF is calling the loan program a significant success, but according to economic experts, given the current political and economic conditions, implementing the terms of this program is a major challenge.
