Internet services are disrupted across Pakistan, what is the reason?

Karachi: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited's (PTCL) national internet network is unavailable.

Details state that there are problems with internet access in a number of major cities, including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. A malfunction in PTCL's fiber optic network is the cause of the disruption.

According to a PTCL representative, the appropriate authorities are evaluating the circumstances. While the local network is somewhat impacted as well, international traffic is mostly the focus of the problem.

The PTCL network outage is affecting internet access, the spokesman said, and their staff are working quickly to fix the problem.

It's evident that everyday living has been hampered by the PTCL services outage. The PTCL internet is unavailable for browsing, with the exception of a few apps, and bank and other government office functions have been suspended.

Previously, on July 26, the testing of a new internet security network system in the country not only affected social media applications but also slowed down internet speed.
